Privacy Statement – Business Relationships (i.e. not employees)

This Privacy Statement sets forth our policies and describes what information we collect about our customers, prospects, suppliers, and business associates; how and why we collect and use the information; and how we safeguard the rights of registered individuals in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

The Personal Information Act governs collection, storage, compilation, extradition and other processing of personal data. A key feature of this act outlines strict confidentiality and security requirements for processing personal data. The Data Inspectorate supervises the company´s adherence to this act. “Personal Information” includes both information and assessments that can be linked to a specific individual. For example, a name, phone number and email address.

Responsibility

Aquatiq is responsible and accountable for the processing of personal data related to the company. In this context the term “manager” refers to the person responsible for determining the purpose of processing personal data and in aiding personal enquiries regarding data privacy. Contact information for Aquatiq can be found at the bottom of this Privacy Statement.

Types of personal information being processed

When you are a customer and have a business relationship with us, we store your contact information (including name, phone number, position/title and email address).

We also store email and other written communications we receive from you, including feedback you provide us regarding your customer relationship, our services and delivery/offers, or the like.

We will store information, if we receive information from you in connection with your consent to 

  • Receive newsletters and updates, or, 
  • Participation in similar activities, 

What your information is used for:

All information, such as the contact information, any additional services, and the information we otherwise receive from you, is stored primarily to manage your customer relationship. This includes services and deliveries, invoices, handling payments and communication of useful information and assistance when applicable. The information also enables us to analyse, adapt and improve our services and delivery/offers and our communication with you.

Length of information retention period

We store personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in the above section or to comply with specific legal requirements. Consequently, the storage time for different types of information may vary. The Accounting Act allows invoice information to be stored for at least 5 years. We store your contact information as long as you are a customer of ours (and a certain period of time, for example, to provide you with the best possible service if you choose to come back to us). For the various other types of information (such as email and chat log from customer service dialog), the information retention time may be shorter.

Who we share the information with

All information is kept within the Aquatiq Group.

To the extent that law or legal decision or necessary for investigation of possible offenses against our business imposes it, relevant information may be disclosed to public authorities or any other legitimate authoritative or legal body.

How we protect the information

We work systematically to ensure information security and use technical and organizational security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access and use. When using third parties to operate our solutions, the same personal information data collection rules and regulations apply.

In connection with any reorganization, restructuring, merger, sale or other transfer of assets, we transmit information, including personal information, provided that the recipient agrees to respect your personal information in a manner that is consistent with our Privacy Statement.

When we pass the personal data to countries outside the EEA (EU) and other regions with comprehensive privacy data protection laws, we ensure that the information has been transferred in accordance with this Privacy Statement. 

Cookies and tracking images

Aquatiq’s websites collect anonymous information about visitors to our sites using Google Analytics. “Anonymous” means that we cannot track the information we collect back to the individual user. Google Analytics retrieves information from the visitor’s browser. This information includes IP address, operating system, and browser software and screen resolution.

The purpose of this is to develop statistics that we use to improve and further develop the content and functionality of the websites. For example, the statistics provide us with information regarding website page traffic, duration of viewing, country of visitor, and which browsers are used.

It is optional for visitors to Aquatiq’s Web sites to provide personal information. If you resume personal information such as email or phone number, we treat these in order to handle your inquiry, as well as build an interest profile. We do not share your personal information with third parties.

Internal search on the sites

We use an internal search engine on our sites so visitors can easily find the information they are looking for. The search usage pattern is saved, but the information cannot be traced back to the individual user.

Social Media

The websites of Aquatiq use sharing features for Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram, allowing visitors to share the content of their network. We do not use third party cookies and/or suppliers for the sharing feature on our website. Furthermore, we do not save the individual social media profiles or individual activity on Social Media.

Links to other sites and services

Our websites may contain links to other sites, and some of our services may provide you with access to third party services. Aquatiq is not responsible for your personal information data when using external websites.
